Ten Months

Slide1

Noah rang in 10 months as cute and happy as ever! He is now on-the-move with his own version of scooting/crawling.  I guess he doesn’t feel like he needs to use his knees or legs because he does an inch-worm/army-crawl method … it seems to get him from one location to another though! He likes to mix in several baby-yoga poses in the middle of his crawling as well. He’s got a mean downward dog and plank.

He started eating a lot more finger foods this month, in addition to applesauce and other pureed foods. He loves to feed himself bananas, avocado, cheese, pasta and rice. He makes a terrible face when he tries something new. But he always goes back for more and ends up eating everything on his tray. Maybe he has an aversion to new textures?  Who knows!?

Noah is growing, growing growing! I can’t believe my formerly skinny baby seems to have “pudge” every where now. We love it! He’s not saying any words yet… but he often repeats sounds that Dave and I make. This month he started waving “Hi” and “Bye.” It’s pretty cute.

Home Sweet Home … REALLY!

We made it! After packing everything we own into a moving truck for the fifth time in six years, we have arrived at our new home in Charlotte, North Carolina. The move went fairly easy, but of course it had its moments, they all do! Like how I always get stressed out near the end of the packing wondering if all of our stuff will fit. It did all fit, it always does, but those last few things made it a tight squeeze.  So after driving through a snow storm in Virginia, we finally made it to our new place … and Noah’s third home.

We absolutely love our neighborhood. It seems that everything is is walking distance and we are already driving a lot less. We go on many strolls to the grocery store, Lowe’s, the farmer’s market and more. The beautiful Charlotte weather definitely helps. It’s been in the mid 70’s to low 80’s since we got here and we are really soaking in this weather, because we know the 90-degree days of summer might be a bit more brutal.

We have already started on a few small house projects. There is a lot to be done, as our house was a rental for two years before we purchased it. So the yard needs some serious attention and the rest needs some TLC here and there. We are taking a slow and steady approach, but have already cleared some of the yard (With the help of Steve and Cynthia!), chopped down bamboo, and painted the deck and porch furniture.

Friends and family are always welcome and we look forward to visitors! A few pictures for now… more to come of the house soon!
